Peter J. Mancuso, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Mancuso is the founder of NY Foot & Ankle Surgeons.  He is the chief of podiatry at Southside Hospital Northwell Health. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Mancuso is cofounder of the Long Island Wound Healing Association, Optimum Podiatry Group and Island Wound Healing.  He is a past President of the Suffolk County Podiatric Medical Association.
 
Dr. Mancuso is active in training foot and ankle surgeons and is the on-site Director of Podiatric Residency Training for the Northport VA.  He lectures around the country on topics such as wound care and surgical technique. Dr. Mancuso is certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen and affiliated with wound centers. 
 
He did his training in Manhattan in the Cathlolic Healthcare System and was the chief resident. He recieved his medical degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. His Bachelor of Science was earned in the Pre-Med program at the University of Scranton.  Dr. Peter Mancuso was raised in Kings Park and remains active in his Long Island community. 
 
 
Gail Garafolo, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Garafolo, completed her podiatric medicine and surgical residency. She is Board Qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is also part of the Long Island Wound Healing Association and the American Professional Wound Care Association. Dr. Garafolo is a graduate of New York College of Podiatric Medicine

 

 

Esther Hansen, DPM


Dr. Esther Hansen is an Attending at Southside Hospital, completed her podiatric medicine and surgical residency at Northport VA. She is Board Qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is also part of the Long Island Wound Healing Association and the American Professional Wound Care Association. Dr. Hansen is a graduate of New York College of Podiatric Medicine

 

 

Christopher Schroeder, DPM, ACFAS


Dr. Schroeder graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine Rosalind Franklin University.  He completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Northwell and served as chief resident.  He continued his education after residency completing a Fellowship Program in Advanced Wound Care and Tissue Healing at St. John's Episcopal Hospital.  Dr. Schroeder is board certified in American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and board qualified in American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).  He is serving as an active member in the New York State Podiatric Medical Association Nassau County Board of Directors and American Board of Podiatric Medicine Qualification Exam Committee.
