Dr. Kevin Shim joined NY Foot & Ankle Specialists in Brentwood, NY in July 2022.
He graduated from and earned the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Then he completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with added credentials in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY, where he pursued additional fellowship training in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Shim is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and board qualified in Foot Surgery and Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Currently, Dr. Shim holds full staff privileges as an attending podiatrist at South Shore University Hospital (Southside Hospital) and Huntington Hospital.
Dr. Shim strives to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care in both conservative and surgical approaches for patients of all ages.
